Join us in Costa Rica to Design Your Vision for This New Year

Greetings and Happy New Year!

The start of a fresh new year fills me with hope, potential for all that can be, and optimism that we can navigate our way through the challenges in front of us. There is so much in our world right now that is inspiring, filled with goodness, and exciting. And, at the same time, much that needs compassion, tremendous work, creativity, and our full selves to show up and make the necessary shifts to a life-sustaining world for all.

Towards that, I invite you to join me for a special, intensive workshop in Costa Rica, May 15 – May 20, 2024, to delve deep into our individual and collective vision for the world we want to see. Last year, Sustainability Leadership Network partnered with Brave Earth to host Biomimicry for Systems Thinkers, which you can read about here. The shared learning was so impactful, we have decided to hold a new set of workshops again.

Navigating challenges in our world, lives, organizations, and teams does not need to be done alone. Join other practitioners and leaders of sustainability and climate solutions to gain practices, tools, new mindsets, and experiences to step into your wisdom and power from a place of vision, confidence, and resilience.

Vision is a powerful tool to help bring about a regenerative and just world. One in which you can discover and create your most meaningful work. The workshop, titled Vision In Times Of Transition | Harnessing Vision For Resilience, Regeneration & Climate Solutions, will embed participants’ practice of the art of vision, providing resilience and adaptability in the face of challenges and changing circumstances. Visioning provides a set of reference points to reassess strategies, make necessary adjustments, and find alternative paths toward the envisioned future. As Donella Meadows professed, “The process of building a responsible vision of a sustainable world is not a rational one. It comes from values, not logic.

In this workshop, you will:

  • Clarify your vision of what you want to do and how you want to be
  • Experience a series of visioning practices to help articulate what a regenerative world looks like, and what our role is in bringing forth that world
  • Learn how to use the art of vision to guide change and transformation effectively for yourself and others
  • Build practices for resilience
  • Immerse in and learn from the wisdom of the Costa Rican rainforest

There is a strong connection between the power of the mind, our relationship with the living world, and what happens in our lives. With so many changes and challenges in our world today, it is our responsibility to learn how to envision and articulate the details of the world we want to live in. Buckminister Fuller said, “You never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete.” When we practice the art of vision we can bring these new models into form.

The workshop will be held at Brave Earth, an ecologically minded retreat center that serves as a living laboratory and community project.  Implementing structures and models based on values of biomimicry, regeneration, resiliency and reciprocity, much of the food is grown in the Brave Earth gardens or sourced locally, with more than 500 trees that have been planted to create a food forest. The architecture of the dwellings and shared spaces was intentionally designed to mimic nature, as an alchemical symbol for union and balance. With profits redistributed to the local ecosystem, Brave Earth forms a living model for the natural integrative responsiveness at the foundation of biomimicry.

Join leaders like Michael Dupee, Chief Operating Officer, Sustainable Brands, who says,  “I’ve just booked myself for this experience and highly recommend you check it out if you are looking for any kind of a personal refresh. From a deep reset to a simpler re-commitment to hearing your own voice, you will fully embrace your power, and show up authentically in a world and time that needs it. I’ve worked with Edie Farwell many times in the last 20 years. This work is for real and always leaves me feeling grounded, energized, optimistic, and alive.”

Register now to join us for what will be a profound, focused, rainforest inspired immersion into embedding the practice of vision into your work, way of being, and dreams for the world you want to bring forth.

Please email me with any questions, or to set up a time to talk.

As well, I am available for private coaching for sustainability, climate solutions and personal wellness and sustainability. I look forward to hearing from you.

With gratitude for all that each of you do to bring about a just, vibrant and life-sustaining world,

Edie Farwell
