Why SLN?
As we confront increasing challenges, we need a diverse and closely aligned global network of sustainability champions who work collaboratively, at high impact, to bring about a vibrant, just and healthy world.
Who We Are
Sustainability Leaders Network was founded on the vision that each individual has the opportunity to unfurl their innate talents and passions, and to contribute these gifts in service of global sustainability.
What We Do
We strive to shift the tide to create a life-sustaining world for all. We believe everyone has the potential to be a leader for sustainability, and each of us has a role to play. Everyone is needed.

Take Action
One of the Donella Meadows Leadership Fellows, Tim Brown, offers the opportunity to offset personal carbon emissions, or purchase carbon offsets to mitigate one-time or annual carbon emissions for families, households, or organizations. Tim’s company, Tradewater, headquartered in Chicago, pursues projects nationally and internationally to find, collect, and destroy refrigerants. Tradewater’s refrigerant projects are conducted pursuant to scientifically reviewed protocols established by the California Air Resources Board, American Carbon Registry, and VERRA, and each project is independently audited to ensure full compliance.
We must realize that when basic needs have been met, human development is primarily about being more, not having more.
—Earth Charter
Donella Meadows Leadership Fellows
We convene and strengthen the impact of a talented network of sustainability champions from around the world who practice environmental, social and economic sustainability from a whole systems approach. Our Fellows are graduates of the Donella Meadows Leadership Fellows Program, and are well versed in the disciplines of systems thinking, organizational learning, reflective conservation, visioning and creative expression.
